Thus Spoke Zarathustra...

I'm in a love-hate relationship with Nietzsche...or maybe not with Nietzsche but just with my honors professor. I had my mind blown today in class and I don't know that my exhausted brain can take it.

But I really do love the crazy German...in fact, I see how our lives in the 21st century are influenced by him (and how did I learn about existentialism without learning about him first?) and how even some of my stories from the past have had some elements of his writing in there. (In my first REAL attempt at NaNoWriMo back in 2006, I had a fantasy world which used different words for concepts, but they were words that the main character was used to, for instance: 'beer' really meant 'water' and 'green' really meant 'yellow'. I thought that it was fun to mess with my character's head like that, and lo and behold, Nietzsche was doing that WAY before me.)

But the concepts in "Thus Spoke Zarathustra" are really neat and they'll probably make their way into my novel a bit. Just you wait.

In other news, I get to go to the chiropractor for my neck (which has been giving me problems since Saturday) on Thursday morning. It can't come fast enough. I'm also going shopping tonight for vegan food, although I don't really have a lot of money to spend. I'm gonna buy some stuff to take with me in a lunch box, though. Being around food all the time when I'm hungry is murder. Like right now...*stomach growls*

I'm so tired and ready for this semester to be over. Summer-time can't come quickly enough, either. My fingers just itch to type...my brain has so much going on inside that it needs to explode beautifully onto a word document...

That's a gross image. Sorry for that. Have a nice day!

I just want to say that it thrills me that you are having your "mind blown" in college! I wish that feeling for you the rest of your life. Aha-moments are some of the best moments in life and I hope you don't ever stop having them. There is no limit to what you can do...always remember that, and live in that truth!!!
