The End is Finally Here...

My first semester is finally drawing close to its grand...finale. With finals. :D

I only have two finals, which is fabulous. The first is this Friday for my Latin class, which I am legitimately nervous about. There is a lot of material that I should review. My math final is not comprehensive, which makes me feel very confident. (Our last chapter was on trigonometry and volumes, areas, and perimeters.) So after Monday, I will officially be done until January.

To commemorate this momentous occasion, I would like to do something that one of my friends did on her blog, which is make a list of some of the things that I have learned over the past five months.

1. Don't procrastinate.

2. Don't procrastinate because you will have to stay up until three o'clock in the morning on a Sunday because your English homework is due Monday before noon.

3. Make flashcards for foreign language classes.

4. Eating is most definitely over-rated. I get free Frappucinos. I don't need real food.

5. Laundry is best done on a static day. As is cleaning. Because otherwise, it will not get done.

6. College students are proficient in finding ways out of paying for stuff. I am now a proud user of FrostWire.

7. It is TOTALLY okay to sleep in random, public places just because everyone else is, too.

8. Even if a professor doesn't give a set due date for your extra project, make one up. And make it before November. That way you don't have to stress about it during NaNoWriMo.

9. Finals are meant to freak you out. Don't freak out and everything will be okay.

10. Sometimes, roommates don't care about your life. In fact, they only care about their lives. And sometimes, it's okay to completely disregard anything they say at two o'clock in the morning.

11. Not everyone is as nerdy as I am. I am okay with this.

12. Way more people hate Canada than I previously thought. I'm still moving there. Or Sweden. Can't decide.

13. I have a lot of credits already. I have time to take random fun literature classes if I want. My academic advisor is not the boss of me, even though I can tell she thinks she is. I'm an adult and pay to go to college (not really, but that's besides the point). I can do whatever I damn well want and the rest of all y'all can SUCK IT. *Laughs* Sorry, bad inside joke.

So there you have it. Semester One est finito. To infinity and beyond!

14. I've learned that my Mom was right (as usual) that I should have stayed home. I miss her terribly when I'm away from her. From now on, I'm going to listen to EVERYTHING my mom says because she is brilliant and knows what's best for me.
