So I Just Applied for My First Internship...

I'm freaking out a little bit. I decided to apply for the Project Excellence Writing Internship, on a whim, thinking that I could have the interview and ask questions about scheduling and so on. Basically, I would be working with kids (K-8) on writing non-fiction, ficition, poetry, and comic books. Or...whatever else the kids can think of. And then we go to a Writer's Conference where the kids get to share and I would have to present on something awesome like "Making Memorable Characters" (OMGFUNSIGNMEUP!!!)

So I submitted my application, reference included (AVID tutoring? Why yes, I did that. Working in an elementary school library? Yep. Did that, too.) and am waiting for an e-mail that will tell me when my phone interview is.

I wouldn't have bothered with this, seeing as I already have a full semester, but I thought maybe a little extra work (6 hours a week [mostly done on Saturdays]) would be worth it for both the experience and how awesome it would look on a resume. So....I'll update once I know what's going on with that.

In other news, only two weeks left of school. :D I have this week and next. Next is finals. Ewww. I only have two finals, though, which is great. And one of them is over trigonometry. I'll be focusing mostly on Latin....ha ha ha.
