Of Fanfiction and Flu
I've been spending a lovely weekend at home with the family, but it would be twice as lovely if both of the siblings weren't sick with something akin to the flu. (Swine flu? Avian flu? Dunno.)
I feel so bad for the both of them...but then I remember that they watched me suffer all Spring Break long with my flu...and I feel okay that I'm not suffering with them.
Instead I've been trying to do some homework and writing a Barbie-inspired fan-fiction. (God that sounds so pathetic when I put it like that. But I have always loved the Barbie movies...) And more fan-fiction will undoubtedly follow, as I bought the "What If?" Collection at Borders today (it's that same book we got you for Christmas, Uncle Jason!) and I already love it. Why are people always beating me to the best ideas? (Not that I would ever be able to speculate what the world would be like if Robert E. Lee had never surrendered...but just the idea of selling a book of those thoughts....damn all of those authors! Yes, damn you David McCullough in all of your American Revolution glory!)
Anyway, I should go to bed as Brynn will probably try to wake me up at some obscene hour tomorrow...that or I'll want to write some more and end up being awake until three....the sooner I finish this blog post, the better.
