What a Wonderful, Scary, Long, Hot Morning
I woke up VERY early this morning in order to 'look cute' for my first day of college (let nobody know that I was wearing Green Eggs and Ham socks...) and ended up leaving at approximately 6:39 a.m.
I-10 traffic held me up only slightly and I arrived on campus around 7:10, after paying for parking. Which sucks.
My professor didn't show up to my 7:30 a.m. math class (142: College Mathematics, by the way) so all ten students got up and left around 8:00. I hung around campus, people-watched, and listen to my stomach make gurgle noises until 9:40 which was when my Latin class began. I went inside, found Gene (Yay! A friend!) and had a nice fifty minutes of syllabus coverage and Q and A. My professor has THE BIGGEST, MOST AWESOME JEW-FRO EVER! I'm allowed to say that because I know a Jew-Fro when I see one...thanks Mom. :) In order to commemorate this day, here are a few pictures:
The first is me next to the Nipple of Knowledge outside of Hayden Library (Gene's nickname, not mine) and the second is a picture from my Latin textbook. In case you can't see it, it depicts Achilles dragging Hector's body. ("Idk, my bff Petrocles?") Latin should be pretty epic. No pun intended. :D
EDIT: I also got promoted today. Hooray for me!
